Congratulations to our Colston’s Girls’ School Athletics team

On Thursday 12 May the Colston’s Girls’ School Intermediate (Year 9 and 10) and Junior (Year 7 and 8) athletics team went to Yate athletics track to compete in the prestigious English Schools Athletics Track and Field Cup. A mixture of fifteen state and private Schools competed in the competition. During this event each competitor had to compete in a track and field event across the athletic disciplines. Colston’s Girls’ School performed exceptionally well and were fiercely rivalling the top private Schools throughout the day. It was extremely close at the end of the final race and Colston’s Girls’ managed to achieve an outstanding third place overall in both the Intermediate and Junior categories. The Junior Girls were the highest achieving state School in the whole of Avon and Somerset and the Intermediate Girls  were in the top two highest achieving state Schools in Avon and Somerset.
